Bankay Mian is a qaawal with 3 members in his party as humnawa. Bankay Mian is 50 plus and is a cynic figure. A struggling qawwal party of some neglected people who could not make it to the lime light, Bankay Mian finally decided to use his cynicism for some good of society and started to comment about the social happenings and the time he is in. BANKAY MIAN KI QAWWALI, SUB SAY NIRALI describes his philosophy of qawwalis very plainly as he thinks that parody is the biggest revenge of modern times and all the injustices meted unto him.
Other humnawa of this party are Baboo Bhai, Kallan and Laddan. All three neglected musicians who joined Bankay Mian and believed in his cynicism. Baboo Bhai plays Tabla while Kallan and Laddan are for claps. The bevy of three humnawas is sycophant of Bankay and never disagrees with what he says or does. They in fact copy him in style and also appearance.
